Terms of use

Windrow is dual-season snow and lawn operations software for shops. It is operated by Tinker and Scribe Workshop Inc., 1146 Route 895, Elgin, NB E4Z 2M3.

Using Windrow

By using the Windrow web app, the demo, the survey, or a public quote or invoice link, you agree to these terms. Use the service for your own shop's operations. Keep login credentials private. Do not try to open another organization's records.

Price

Windrow is billed once a year. There is no monthly plan. Prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include tax. Card payments add the tax Stripe calculates for the billing address. Interac e-transfer for the Both pilot year is CA$599 + 15% HST (CA$688.85). A lawn-only pilot year is CA$399 + HST. A snow-only pilot year is CA$599 + HST.

  • Snow: CA$649 per year, plus HST.
  • Lawn: CA$549 per year, plus HST.
  • Both snow and lawn: CA$1,099 per year, plus HST.
  • First-five pilot: Both is CA$599 plus HST for year one. Lawn-only is CA$399 plus HST for year one. Snow-only is CA$599 plus HST for year one. After year one, the yearly list price for the plan you are on applies.

Trial and payment

A free trial lasts 30 days from code redemption. It starts when your shop redeems its single-use pilot code. If the year has not been paid, the app shows a payment screen from day 32 until it is paid. During that pause we keep your data. Nothing is deleted. When we mark the shop paid, access comes back. Paid access runs through the end of the period you paid for. A Lawn or Snow plan renews before your season starts. Both renews each year on the date you first paid.

You can pay by Interac e-transfer, or by a one-time secure card link we send you. No charge is taken automatically, and this is not a Stripe subscription.

Renewal

Your plan renews at its list price plus HST (Lawn and Snow before your next season starts, Both yearly on the date you first paid): Snow CA$649, Lawn CA$549, Both CA$1,099. A lawn pilot year renews at the Lawn list price. A snow pilot year renews at the Snow list price. A Both pilot year renews at the Both list price. We email you 30 days before renewal, and you pay by Interac e-transfer or a one-time payment link. Nothing is charged automatically. Cancel any time before renewal by emailing chris@tinkerandscribe.com.

If a renewal is not paid, the app shows the same payment screen until it is paid. Your data stays in place during that pause.

Refunds

We refund the full year-one fee if you ask within 14 days of payment and before your shop's first paid job. After that we do not refund fees, except where New Brunswick law requires a refund.

Between seasons, and if you stop

If you cancel, skip a season, or don't pay a renewal, we keep your shop's account and data for at least 24 months from your last active season, so you can come back without re-entering anything. You can ask us to delete it sooner, or ask for an export, at any time. After 24 months with no active season we delete it in full, including photos and user logins, except the billing and tax records we must keep for 6 years. Liability

Windrow is sold to businesses. These terms still apply if a court treats a sole proprietor as a consumer. Any right New Brunswick law does not allow a consumer to give up stays in place.

Our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This limit does not apply to anything New Brunswick law does not allow us to limit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Brunswick. The courts of New Brunswick hear disputes about them.
